Being an operations manager mainly involves:
- To ensure the coordination of activities at one or several logistics sites in terms of: technical (receiving, warehousing, storage, order preparation, shipping, etc.), commercial (customer, supplier, transporter relations), social (staff management), and financial.
- To contribute to providing advice through its expertise, hierarchy, and operational staff.
- To contribute to the improvement of performance, quality, and safety by taking initiatives and making proposals.
- To ensure the optimisation of warehouse operations with a focus on customer satisfaction and economic performance while adhering to regulations.
- To ensure the direction of the operational staff (logistics technicians, team leaders, logistics operators) according to the objectives set with their hierarchy.
- To ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards and regulations, as well as quality objectives (service, cost, deadline).
